Yoga Niketan was founded by Sri Sailendra Bejoy Dasgupta, an eminent disciple of Swami Sriyukteshvar Giriji Maharaj of Serampore. It was created in order to present, protect and preserve Acharya Dasguptaji's writings and those within his lineage. This mission was entrusted into the hands of his chosen and established spiritual successors who represent him and his line of Gurus.
